O porquê da inscrição do portal do Inferno de Dante? Os dois aparelhos para determinação simultânea de alcalinidade total e carbono inorgânico total dão muito, mas muito trabalho mesmo. Mas quando a rotina se instala, é bem interessante seguir os resultados e ir acompanhando a distribuição dos parâmetros do sistema CO2 marinho na coluna d'água. Dante's Inferno - you really have to get used to the coulometers, the instruments we're using to determine total alkalinity and total inorganic carbon. Once the routine is established it's surprising to follow the parameters distribution along the water column. Check out in the picture below how simple is the instrument... ( D. Wallace and E. Lewis in their DOS CO2 sys programme were absolutely right!)
